Malcolm Brooks is a creative problem solver, and has been since his first Lego set. At Olson Zaltman, he’s worked on verticals including automotive, healthcare, technology, and CPGs, in addition to overseeing the development of new innovations like OZ’s Simile metaphor quantification platform. He’s overseen multinational studies for the public sector as well as Fortune 500 companies, and is intrigued by data big and small.

Before joining Olson Zaltman, Malcolm worked in global strategy and sales operations at an AI and neuroscience-powered hiring platform, where he sharpened skills in depth-research and custom reporting. Majoring in food science as an undergraduate, he gained experience in policy at the USDA’s Office of Congressional Relations, and in research, studying athermal concentration of milk with Cornell’s food science department, and developing salmonella detection media at MSU. His fascination with consumer innovation strategy and consumer behavior was furthered honed during his graduate business studies.

Malcolm graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Food Science and Technology from Mississippi State University and with a Master’s in Commerce from the University of Virginia. When he’s not delving into the unconscious mind, Malcolm enjoys film, paintball, and writing. He also enjoys trivia, appearing twice on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and achieving victory on ABC’s “The $100,000 Pyramid” in 2022.
